Relativity Digital Media has an immediate opening for a seasoned Vice President of Digital Sales to drive strategies for Relativity Media’s owned and operated partner assets, resulting in increased sales.
Reporting to the President of Digital and Strategic Partnerships, this position will act as the primary conduit between the digital division and the sales team to both effectively translate a brand’s/client’s needs into actionable digital programs from ideation through campaign conclusion and, additionally, to effectively communicate content integrations and advertising solutions to the brand and advertising communities.
The position will primarily support Relativity Sports, the 2nd largest sports marketing firm in North America with over 400 athlete-clients and $2.6B in negotiated contracts, and Relativity Sports’ digital video and media division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business and manage existing client relationships to generate revenue.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process, including lead prospecting, scheduling pitch meetings, answering questions from prospective clients, and preparing sales materials.
- Responsible for review, analysis, definition, forecast and execution of sales targets, working closely with an outside sales organization.
- Using subject matter expertise, conduct extensive market research on online advertising to identify relevant market trends and make informed recommendations for changes and/or enhancements.
- Manage sales activity using the company’s CRM system.
- Consistently monitor client service and identify opportunities to improve ROI.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital/New Media, Sales or related field required.
- 7+ years of digital sales experience within the sports/male lifestyle category; previous online video and digital media advertising experience is a must.
- Experience selling digital content platforms.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Deep network with close relationships to high-level decision makers at brands and agencies.
- Must possess exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, marked by a high level of professionalism, diplomacy, discretion, composure, and poise.
- Highest degree of organizational skill, with the ability to multitask to meet the needs for multiple clients.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to distill information and make recommendations clearly and succinctly to internal leaders and stakeholders.
- Comfort in managing multiple projects concurrently, and satisfying aggressive deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all partner departments.
- Possess advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite, in particular PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
