Relativity Builds Relativity Digital Studios to Create Original Digital Content for Brands and Relativity’s Film, Television, Sports and Fashion Divisions
RDS Launches With A New Series for Major League Gaming and Original Workplace Comedy Series Called Interns
(Beverly Hills, California – February 5, 2014) – Relativity today announced that the company has launched Relativity Digital Studios. The division will be led by Roger Mincheff, the former President of MySpace Entertainment and Senior Vice President of Branded Entertainment at Fox Filmed Entertainment. He will report to Randall Cox, President, Relativity Digital.
RDS will create original digital content for major brands. As part of its launch, RDS is working with Relativity partner Major League Gaming on the company’s first slate of non-gaming programming and is also currently in production on the digital workplace comedy series Interns. In addition, RDS will work closely with Relativity’s film, television, sports and fashion divisions on identifying digital opportunities for their projects and clients.
“Relativity Digital Studios furthers our commitment to creating a diverse range of content across multiple platforms,” said Cox. “The launch of this new division builds on our success producing original web-series and creating unique digital campaigns to support our films and television shows.”
“It is a tremendous differentiator that Relativity is a multi-platform studio with incredible production capabilities,” said Mincheff. “We will be able to offer our partners high-quality, long and short form programming to create original digital content.”
“Relativity Digital Studios will work across all of our company’s platforms to deliver consumers compelling content whenever and however they want it,” said Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh. “Old television advertising is a dying model. Relativity is not a traditional studio, but a content engine that has the capability to deliver consumers engaging programming and give brands a powerful way to reach consumers.”
Relativity is a content engine across most major genres. RDS joins Relativity’s growing divisions including Relativity Television, which has over 20 series currently in production, Relativity Sports which currently represents more than 300 professional athletes and M3/Relativity which represents clients across fashion, beauty, style and creative design.
